Description:
Zandvoort sits in the dunes on the Dutch coast, and sand gets into everything there — the track, the air, the grip. Its banked corners tilt the whole circuit in a way no other track on the calendar does.
This is the most physical painting of the four. The background is worked in thick, broken strokes of brown, ochre and yellow so the surface actually moves under the light, the way dune sand does. The circuit is filled in pale gold and outlined heavily in black to hold it steady against all that shifting.
